Life of the Party
Michael Steele brings a new face to the Republican party. Though Mike Duncan did a terrific job as chair, with a sitting Republican President in power during Duncan's tenure, he did not get a great amount of exposure, and media and he was not the head of the party George Bush was. Without a Republican President, Michael Steele along with John Boehner and Mitch McConnell will be the head of the new republican party. In order to succeed as chairman, Steele will have to rebuild the party from the ground up. The local and state parties will have to take charge and find candidates to rebuild the party and retake America. Steele will be able to reach out to minorities and other Americans who are not traditionally Republicans. If Steele brings the leadership to the party that he promised, the republican party could begin to take back house and senate seats in 2010 and with the right candidate and grassroots support perhaps the White House in 2012.

Steele is a great choice to run the RNC he is the new kind of leadership that we need in the Republican Party. I think with the right candidates the GOP can start make a come back as early as 2010!
ReplyDeleteI think you're right. If Obama continues to push this stimulus package, with no insight from the GOP, his approval ratings will plumment when it doesn't stimulate the economy immediately
ReplyDeleteI cannot say that I agree with the firings of all of the RNC staff. Some of whom have been in place for many years and know how to win elections, if given the right candidates and resources.
ReplyDeleteIt is a risky move! we will see how it works soon enough.
